Romeo Echo 80

Command the air.  Protect the column.  Conquer the Desert.

Romeo Echo 80 is a 2D side-scrolling helicopter shooter set loosely against the backdrop of the Gulf War of 1991.  

Your mission is to defeat the enemies defenses, paving the way for your column of tanks, anti-aircraft vehicles, soldiers and explosive trucks to the enemy base.  Your helicopter comes equipped with a grappling hook to expedite the explosives truck down field after the enemies' forces have been weakened or neutralized.  

Strategically build and manage the momentum of your entire armored column while working within your available budget.  

You'll need to protect your base and other assets from SCUD missile attacks, entrenched enemies and a punishing opposition.  

You'll rescue injured soldiers from the field of battle, deploy special forces to extricate captured friendly soldiers while remaining undetected and protect other assets.
